5 Reasons to Say “Yes!” to Crop Tops
When Departmynt asks women for the clothing features they absolutely will not wear, the “crop top” often comes up. It’s certainly a very polarizing piece of clothing. While for some women it feels light and confidence boosting, for others it can seem too attention grabbing, revealing or youthful.
I’m a big fan of the crop top and I want to tell you why. Maybe I’ll convert a few of you by the time you get to reason #5!
A crop top doesn’t have to equal exposed midriff
So here’s the trick. Wear the right jeans and find a crop top which extra detail like a layer of ruffles. That gives you the fun of wearing the crop top without revealing your mid section if that’s not what you’re into.

Because high waisted jeans
The high waisted jean came back and: Lives. Were. Changed. I still haven’t found a body that high waisted jeans don’t look great on. And they’re perfect if you want to wear a crop top without baring it all (okay, maybe a little peek).
Because you have a waist under there
If you’re like me, short with a large bust and short torso, then a high waisted jean and crop top help to show that you do indeed have a waist under there!
Worn right, a crop top elongates!
Which brings me to my next point, the high waisted jean and crop top combo also visually elongates the frame. This is another essential move for us shorties but essentially the crop top has the same effect on many body types.
